Qualifications and experience

I qualified as Mental Health Nurse. I have worked across a broad range of mental health services;inpatient services, intensive care units, community teams and crisis teams. My specialist areas include personality disorders, mood disorders and complex PTSD. I work on an ad-hoc basis as an Expert Witness for Somek& Associates writing medico-legal reports.

Working with addiction

As substance abuse often co-exists with mental illness, I have significant experience in nursing people who suffer from drug and alcohol addiction. I am knowledgeable in a wide range of treatment models for substance abuse.

Working at the lighthouse

It is a privilege to have the opportunity to work with Step by Step Recovery. I am inspired by the recovery journeys of the team members and they all bring a wealth of knowledge and a wide range of experience to the service. The team are passionate about recovery and empower those who suffer with addiction, helping them to reclaim their lives.

Hobbies and interests

In my spare time I regularly ride horses and I am also lead singer in a pop/rock/indie style band so am often gigging at weddings and private functions.
