Former CQC Registered Manager with strong working knowledge of regulatory standards and frameworks
With over a decade of experience as a registered nurse, I have worked in diverse healthcare environments, including Accident and Emergency, primary, and secondary care. Throughout my career, I have encountered patients affected by addiction, which has deepened my understanding of its complexities and the profound impact it has on individuals and their families. This experience has inspired my dedication to providing compassionate, evidence-based care and to advancing effective approaches to addiction treatment. My commitment is to support patients with empathy, professionalism, and a holistic perspective to foster lasting recovery.
I began working at The Lighthouse in 2025 following some time at St Thomas inpatient Addiction unit. The team have a unique blend of professionalism, knowledge and first-hand experience which is invaluable for the client journey and enhances genuine collaboration and bonding amongst staff.
I am passionate about global health and volunteer work, having participated in a medical project in Guatemala. In this role, I was responsible for managing a team and providing comprehensive healthcare services, including health assessments, treatment management, medication prescribing, and follow-up care for 40 local residents. Additionally, I am deeply interested in ongoing research in addiction, and I have actively contributed as a research participant in a collaborative study with Imperial College London. These experiences reflect my commitment to continuous learning, community service, and advancing understanding in the field of addiction and healthcare.
